One of Rochelle Shambaugh’s many businesses is an Etsy shop called SweetCartolina. With five stars and over 100,000 sales, SweetCartolina is a successful shop that sells unique invitations, stationery products, and gifts.
To anyone visiting the store, it is no wonder this business owner has achieved such remarkable success in the creative world with her dedication, imagination, and product personalization.
“Personalized gifts are one of the best ways to express sentiments, thoughtfulness, and care. They make people feel special,” stated Ms. Shambaugh. “Over time, I saw the need for personalizing some of our stationery products with foil to add a luxurious look and impressive feel.”

While she started with a thermal reactive toner foiling process, she quickly realized it was troublesome, inefficient, and not the quality she wanted to offer.
She learned about ImPress Systems at the National Stationery Show several years ago. “I watched the demonstrations and was amazed by the quality output,” Ms. Shambaugh remarked. “The versatility of foil printing on card stock, acrylic frames, and other substrates influenced my decision.”
Since purchasing the Foil Xpress printer, SweetCartolina has added new products and personalization services to the stationery line. And because the foiling machine can print on various substrates, the shop has an expanded product offering beyond stationery items. Now foil personalization is available on many other products, including pencils, luggage tags, and more.
“We have been using the digital foiling machine for about five years now, said Ms. Shambaugh, “I appreciate that we can easily enhance the beauty of a product and deliver more value to our customers with such minimal cost.”
